Day 1: Introduction to Sailing (ASA 101)

Your journey begins at the Wet & Salty Adventure Sailing School dock, where we’ll board Less Stress, our Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 32i. The day kicks off with on-water training in Carlisle Bay, where you’ll gain confidence in steering and practice your first tacking maneuvers. In the evening, enjoy a crew-prepared dinner onboard and spend the night moored in the bay.

Day 2: Refining Your Skills (ASA 101)

Today, we’ll build on the fundamentals, focusing on perfecting tacking and jibing techniques until the entire group feels comfortable managing the boat. In the afternoon, we’ll introduce Man Overboard (MOB) recovery techniques, an essential safety skill for any sailor.

Day 3: Skills Assessment & Island Exploration

The morning begins with your ASA 101 written exam and evaluation onshore. Afterward, you’ll have free time to explore Barbados. Choose from:

  • An island tour

  • A visit to the Mount Gay Distillery & Visitor Center

  • A diving lesson

  • Relaxing on one of Barbados’ stunning beaches

(Onshore activities are not included in the course price.)

Days 4–6: Coastal Cruising (ASA 103)

Set sail along Barbados’ breathtaking west coast, refining your navigation and sailing techniques. Each night, we’ll anchor at scenic bays along the northwest coast. On Day 6, you’ll complete your ASA 103 written exam in the morning, followed by an afternoon of onshore exploration.

(Onshore activities are optional and not included in the course price.)

Days 7–9: Bareboat Cruising (ASA 104)

Now it’s your turn to take charge! Each student will rotate as skipper for a day, managing navigation, crew, and itinerary. We’ll sail along the west and south coasts, stopping for a special dinner on Day 8 in Oistins, a lively fishing village famous for its fried fish and street party atmosphere.
